CarePlus Connects with Various Donors for the Holiday Season

Every year, various community groups share the spirit of generosity with the individuals and families that we serve. Many of those who benefit from these forms of giving are unable to indulge during the holidays, and we are grateful to all those who make their season a little more merry and bright.

We would like to recognize some of those organizations, with gratitude:

The Bergen Volunteer Center hosts an annual “All Wrapped Up” Holiday Giving Program, which matches organizations with donors to fulfill their gift giving needs. There are a number of individuals and families enrolled in CarePlus programs that have directly benefitted from this hallmark program, including Healthy Families Bergen; Integrated Case Management Services; Assisted Outpatient Treatment Services; Transition Services; Housing Works Initiative; Rapid Re-Housing for Families; Intensive Case Management; Supported Employment; Supportive Assistance for Individuals and Families; Work First New Jersey; Children’s Intensive Program; Families First; Visitation, Counseling, Reunification; Kinship Navigator Program; Homeward Bound and Homeward Bound Aftercare.

Some of our other Children and Family Service Programs have been recipients throughout the years from the REACT clubs from East & West Brook Middle Schools in Paramus and through Weichert Oradell’s Annual Toy Drive. This year, we connected with the Bergen County PBA Toy Drive as well. Many of these donations are gifted to youth that are in the foster care system or have aged out of the system. Young women enrolled in our Strive for Independence programs in Essex County will also receive gifts this year, courtesty of private donors.

Our Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization System received 10 Thanksgiving dinner donations (including turkeys), to gift to families, from Supreme Consultants’ “Inspire the Youth” Program. Further, the Todd Ouida Foundation has also made their annual donation of 75 tickets to the Nutcracker performance from the NunnBetter Dance Theatre at the Bergen Academies. This donation has offered families the special experience of appreciating the performing arts, developing an interest in theater and dance, and building the holiday spirit together.

Thank you so much for your generosity and compassion, we look forward to sharing the cheer for many years to come!
