Tara Augustine is the Vice President of Children and Family Services for Care Plus NJ, Inc. Tara’s career is dedicated to helping children and families reach the full potential of their lives and educating the community to reduce the stigma of mental illness. In her more then twelve years of experience at Care Plus NJ she has worked as a direct care provider and administrator. Ms. Augustine received her Bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. In addition, Ms. Augustine has received specialized training in the areas of Early Childhood Development, Adoption, Child Maltreatment with a Specialization in Child Sexual Abuse, and Specialized Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

In her role as the Vice President of Children and Family Services, Ms. Augustine oversees over twenty-five different programs that serve over 4000 children and adolescents annually. The services she leads include but are not limited to; Healthy Families, Children’s Mobile Response, Supervised Visitation Services, Family Preservation, School Violence Prevention, Children’s Home Based Intervention Program, Adoption House, Juvenile Fire Prevention Program, and Foster Care Services.

Tara has also served as the County’s Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council co-chair and participates on various committees and advisory boards, including but not limited to; the School Based Youth Services Community Liaison Board, the Juvenile Fire Prevention Advisory Board and Healthy Families Advisory Board.
